Magnesium Boat Anodes

Magnesium is a far more reactive metal than aluminium and zinc, which is why it's not recommended for use in brackish waters. In addition, as the metal is so reactive, magnesium anodes begin to corrode with the slightest moisture in the atmosphere.

On the flip side, magnesium anodes are suitable for structures that require fast effects, or temporary cathodic protection. Furthermore, magnesium anodes can also be used in areas where there will be high temperatures, such as inside a boiler.
