Aluminium Bolt On Hull Anodes
Sacrificial hull anodes are specifically used to protect the hull of your boat from corrosion by reacting to electrolysis and corroding themselves, instead of your hull - hence the term 'sacrificial'.
Aluminium anodes have three times higher high nominal electrical capacity than a zinc bolt on hull anode of the same mass. This means that you require significantly less aluminium anodes than you would zinc anodes, making it easier to manage their underwater installation or subsequent replacement.
Unlike aluminium weld on anodes, aluminium bolt-on anodes do not require specialist tools to secure them to your hull, although it is highly recommended that you use the best-quality anode fixing bolts when bolting on hull anodes.
